Library Assistance for Immigrants

Yesterday WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show had a segment called  Library Assistance for Immigrants, featuring the Queens Public Library, New York Public Library and Brooklyn Public Library's role in providing services to immigrants residing in their boroughs.  Throughout the segment you hear testimony of immigrants explaining how their public library provided opportunities for them to learn and strengthen their  English skills, computer skills, attend cultural programs and feel that they were part of a community.

The same can be said about the Public Libraries serving immigrant populations in Suffolk County, NY.  Visit your Public Library to learn about services that they offer.  Be part of a community that will help you grow.
